These kids will probably be the first to never know a world without AGI. I certainly wouldn't be saving for a college fund if I was a expecting a baby right now. Imagine the change they'll see in their lifetimes!

Just to help onlookers - college funds are just good tax avoidance vehicles in specific states and can now be rolled into Roth IRAs. But ya global citizens just go do your thing innit

I was talking about the declining value of traditional degrees for children born in the time of AGI, not about how that would impact tax avoidance strategies. Also, I don't have children.

The disconnect between what is being taught and what is even currently needed in the market is gaping and growing rapidly. Our institutions are not even remotely equipped for the rate of change we're experiencing and most seem happy to slowly slide into irrelevance. Huge shift for society. As a futurist keynote speaker, I often get asked by audience members what their degree their kid should get and tell them to look into trades. They usually don't like that answer.
