I believe in clear pics of faces as PFPs. It’s your personal brand logo - both IRL and URL, and the work you do to build your personal brand online should extend to in person. It's helped so much at parties, events, and conferences.

also shows a bit of skin in the game & professionalism, useful for this era of crypto. its not possible for everyone, sure, but these days if i receive a message from someone with 2021-esque nft pfps i feel a bit of skepticism and wonder if its a serious person or not. often their dms start with ser, bro etc.

Feels corny, makes anonymity for those who want it look out of place and those are the funniest accounts. I save the personal brand for LinkedIn

interesting take: I have been on Linkedin for 20 years with my face. When I landed here I found joy in having a pseudonym and a PFP. I wish they brought back GIFs for PVP bc I prolly would do both.
