There will not be a crypto super app in the West. Most Western users do not want to iMessage inside their Robinhood app then tab over to scroll TikTok in that same app. And builders of elite messaging apps are not going to be the same builders who make elite trading apps or social feed apps.

I’ll take the other side of this bet; notifications, UIs and recommendations are much more natural within one app than across many at the operating level. Within crypto all the apps are competing for the same onchain/onhub notifications, and having 4 apps with the same notifications blasting is not fun

there is a market for an everything onchain app - but that target is us, the ones experimenting every day without caring to have a wallet with $$$ while playing a game or just casting out our shower thoughts that's hard to understand outside of our bubble, hence, making it challenging to onboard newbies

let’s for a moment think about the incentives structure for a superapp facebook is kind of a superapp already ina way: it has social, events, shops, marketplaces, etc. if such an app is in cahoots with the gov then it’s a mutually supportive relationship focused on control

I don’t want my iMessage in it no, but I wouldn’t mind a completely built out ecosystem for crypto. Farcaster, Zora, OpenSea (LOL thrown in for nostalgia), etc all within MetaMask for example would be nice to have my wallet connected across an ecosystem of apps vs having to reach out to mm and redirect often

Idk I text my sister on revolut the other day 😂 And I think many teams will take a stab at the "super app" version of warpcast I think the super app concept is generally misunderstood though It doesn't need to be everything to everybody It just needs to be everything to somebody (a group of people)

There’s a reason why the term super app originated from trends that people were observing in Asia (largely pioneered by WeChat) The west has a high trust culture and people readily trust newer specialised apps, making it easier for individual apps to take off
