Feels like a talent buy.

Stripe has failed over and over to get crypto - this team would unlock it and its revenue for them. 

Like Volkswagen laying off their stuck EV teams in favor of Rivian’s stack.

this surprises me given stripe already has all the distro and brand that resonates w. small and large businesses... they also could probably get special treatment from a banking relationship perspective

i think he is a reasonable crypto skeptic, his critiques are often reasonable.
