this surprises me given stripe already has all the distro and brand that resonates w. small and large businesses... they also could probably get special treatment from a banking relationship perspective

Feels like a talent buy. Stripe has failed over and over to get crypto - this team would unlock it and its revenue for them. Like Volkswagen laying off their stuck EV teams in favor of Rivian’s stack.
