Quick question, but how do I actually fund my wallet to redeem this bonus? Do I just need to send some USDC to the wallet connected with my FC account on Base I'm assuming? Also, how can I interact with my FC wallet if I ever want to withdraw these funds in the future? Not a huge deal, but my 2¢ here is that a little explainer would go along way to increasing conversions @ted

I don’t weigh in on controversy often, but this time I’ll bite. The "Base is for everyone" campaign nails the whole point of permissionless blockchains. I don’t care if you’re a drug dealer, prostitute, or anyone else the law frowns upon. Humans should have the right to transact freely. Once upon a time, you could hand someone physical cash for anything. No bank, no corporations, no government intervention. But that freedom is vanishing as the world moves online. If we want to preserve this, we need scalable blockchains with reasonable fees. Yes, Coinbase has banned users in the past, especially in adult industries. But as a public U.S. company, they are under a much higher degree of scrutiny. However, that’s the beauty of Base. It is an L2 that provides the flexibility for all users, regardless of what financial transactions they want to conduct. This is the cyberpunk, libertarian ideology upon which our entire industry was built. This is what radical financial freedom looks like.

As an engineer, I've often struggled to understand the creative process. Although it is a gross oversimplification, typically, amount of time spend in front of the screen == more features shipped. But design and creativity actually REQUIRE time for inspiration. As a leader, that time needs to be respected.

My FC feed is starting to come together! There is always a ramp-up period on any new social media platform as you find which people & topics to like & follow, but it is clear the algorithm is doing its thing. Love to see so much genuinely interesting activity on my feed!

Web3 advertising is completely broken. 💔 There are people getting paid thousands for a single promotional post. Not only is this completely overpriced with barely any ROI, but it’s bringing almost no new users into the space. If we want our industry to reach the “next billion users,” it’s going to take a lot more than X. We need to meet new users on the mainstream platforms they use every day to expose them to consumer crypto apps that solve real problems. But first, they need the tooling to make this possible. Currently, there is no way to easily manage large-scale content marketing campaigns on other social media platforms. Finding creators, connecting with them, negotiating terms, approving content, and managing payments is extremely time-consuming and doesn’t scale. There needs to be a way to automate this entire process using AI and smart contracts to automatically issue rewards onchain if we want to efficiently reach new audiences. It won’t be easy, but this is my mission. 🏆

I am trying to send some USDC using Coinbase Wallet. I get this error over and over when I try. If you are ever wondering why mainstream users aren't using crypto, popular wallets are the primary culprit.

Your time is your most valuable asset. Protect it at all costs. As a founder you should 100% not be taking calls with people that randomly slide in your DMs, even if they offer potential business opportunities. Unless it is an obvious inbound sales lead, I require people to propose an agenda before I commit to a call. And usually I still decline 90% of proposed agendas unless that agenda is relevant to my currently goals. Anyone who takes offense to this is probably not someone you want to have a call with anyway.

Biggest lesson I wish more technical founders (like myself) should know before starting... If you have the option to do something manually to solve your users' problems, DO THAT FIRST. Don't just rush to build software. You will learn WAY more by solving the problem manually without software before building out a scalable solution. It will save a whole lot of code that just ends up getting deleted if you skip this step.

Sharing 3 of my biggest lessons as a Web3 dev 1. Writing smart contracts is easier than you think 2. Testing takes 5x longer than coding & “vibe coding” might not be a great idea 🫠 3. You can get a job without any professional experience, IF you can prove yourself

Sleep is the biggest life hack I’ve learned as a founder. Getting enough sleep is critical for operating at the highest levels, but too little sleep can be a powerful force for creative problem solving too. Use both to your advantage.

What you don’t build can be even more important than what you do build. Cutting scope is an art, but shipping fast is a science. 🧪 Just show up every day with a big cup of coffee and plenty of AI credits.
