😬 Matter of perspective based on my understanding. A. Policies/Debt/Regulation had to have been in place for such a dramatic action. B. The dramatic action don’t have to take place so all the power and effect was in the hands of a single move/person. Hard to say.

I’d say the latter because this administration has been very vocal on their intents and were just seeing the result of their actions. From what I understand of black swans is that they’re totally unforeseen events like Covid or 08 housing crisis

not a black swan but still a rare bird imo. brewed slowly for decades as we’ve racked up trade deficits. the tariffs attempt to unwind the specific amounts that we owe each country.
