does stoicism appeal to you as a woman? i often see men posting about it or engaging with it more than women, but have never taken the time (yet) to reflect on why that may be.

When Iā€™m stoic Iā€™m called cold, emotionless, or get accused of having testing bitch face. The same way confidence and leadership can be seen as being bossy. Hate this shit.

Same. I feel like being naturally stoic in nature is a detriment, esp. when you're a woman. I think in part because people expect you to behave more outwardly emotional. Resting bitch face, stuck up, cold, etc. yep. heard it all. šŸ˜† How many times have I heard a guy call out to me in the street "smile! it's not so bad." Really? This is with my neutral expression. I have to plaster a slight smile on my face when I'm alone so people don't think I'm pissed off. I'm like an owl. šŸ˜‚
