the reddit advice is the best time to buy a house is when you want to buy and can afford one. Trying to play the market never seems to work

(coming from someone who cannot afford a house in the town I want live in and don't want to move to the burbs... so I haven't really spent much serious thought behind this)

hard to give advice on this ofc but personally would enjoy inner city life for some time and then get a house more out of necessity. Living outside the city feels more enjoyable w a family ime

yeah house I was looking at was for me + fiancée to hopefully be in for a while, ideally with kids, but honestly hard to commit to a multi-year timeline
