now is objectively a bad time to buy a house right? or is there a thoughtful, non-boomer case for still investing in real estate?

the reddit advice is the best time to buy a house is when you want to buy and can afford one. Trying to play the market never seems to work (coming from someone who cannot afford a house in the town I want live in and don't want to move to the burbs... so I haven't really spent much serious thought behind this)

Yeah I mostly planned to not think about buying, but just came across a place that’s relatively cheap and exactly what I’d want/need, so it planted all kinds of ideas Good point on not trying to play the market, makes sense tbh
