Am I even making a dent? This stuff took off in a rip this year— I’ve been spending a few moments each morning ripping this out of the ground, but it has quite a deep root system sometimes so it’s a bit tedious, but I wanna put some thirsty wildflowers down there and these things gotta go

Yeah, and it’s worse than it’s pictured it takes up a whole strip in my very back garden. It’s called mustard something and it’s extremely invasive. 

This is year two of fighting it and I didn’t have as much energy last year when it was smaller so it’s bigger. I cut it off at the end of the spread and I’m working backwards so that it doesn’t go into other gardens or other spaces. I think I’m at war!

That's a 100% war! Maybe you can plant something else in its stead that can stop it from growing in the future ?

Is it a shady area? I love how plants like periwinkle look in shady areas, they too can be invasive but at least they spread along the ground and look pretty ☺️ No idea if they can fight the mustard plant though

Yes, this butts up against a forest basically so I’m right on the edge. I’m gonna ask around some of my local plant wise friends and see what they suggest. 

Any thoughts pop up for you? What would you put here? It’s not highly trafficked by humans, but it is part of a deer run.
