This has been happening all over and it’s just a matter of time before this occurs in every state - there is just too large of a teacher shortage that the prerequisite now is being a warm body as parents required to work 40 hours a week need babysitters Many states now bring in foreigners on visas to fill the shortage Easy solution would be to raise pay + attract more qualified applicants but unfortunately education has become politicized Much like people paint all police as bad because of the actions of a few, you see a similar situation with education and teachers Raise pay (and qualification requirements), fund schools, reduce class sizes, and you’ll fix many of the issues in education today https://x.com/unusual_whales/status/1876343908361470322
