Maybe am naive but I don’t get the point of going to really expensive restaurants and getting zero portions If i wanted to see art I would look at paintings for a lot cheaper Open to changing my mind though

I feel like really expensive restaurants usually have a multiple course menu and no a la carte? (Like $500+ pp) It’s the ones that are like $50/dish on an a la carte menu that have small portions

It’s about the experience, otherwise you’re just paying $500 for a steak 🥩 If the experience is shit AND I still have to go to McDonald’s after it’s a shit place

depends on the actual ratio. I'd appreciate it if price is 2x, portion is 2/3 (I'd accept 1/2 if food is really great). But not like 4x price with 1/3 portion. Most importantly if food taste great then I'm all for it, if reasonably expensive. Alternative: listen to 400 hours of podcast on diminishing marginal utility
