Any other solo founders here? What are some challenges you had to face relative to multiple founder cos?

Everything is harder - holding a codebase and g2m in your head at once is brutal, emotional regulation without someone to vent to, more context switching, all on your back, etc Raising money is nigh impossible unless you already have a relationship with an investor You see the bottleneck for every last thing.

- more lonely and stressful - no partner to bounce ideas off of - more context switching - need great time management - things going poorly mean only you're to blame - worse perception from investors (harder to raise)

What others said, and - You have to find tools to expand your working memory (whether it's a relentless "put everything in JIRA" mindset or simple todo list) - Investors are inherently way more skeptical of you, especially if it's a moonshot - You have to suddenly get good at a lot of things beyond what you're building

I started as a solo founder for a few months and then pivoted and found two amazing co-founders and honestly it makes everything easier!

harder to build momentum on multiple fronts without dropping balls, and also VCs see it as riskier so fundraising can be a bit harder

I am no longer a founder, but in 2017 I solo founded Graphite Docs. Trying to raise money was brutal. I think things have changed a bit but even just 6 years ago, investors were wary of backing solo founders.
