What I am learning is that there is a large contingent of software engineers who use “anti woke” and “free speech” to excuse their low to no soft skills and antisocial behavior.

can you give an example for better understanding? what kind of quality degradation is justified by these things?

This observation is prompted by this post. This is just antisocial behavior.

this is the kind of headache that comes with free speech. no need for an over-the-top reaction, just gotta gradually neglect both them and whatever they create

Freedoms like free speech come with responsibility. These people neglect their responsibility to society and to others. I agree the correct response is to starve them of attention, but come on / grow up.

this is the biggest thing on my mind lately when it comes to decentralization. it’s like the whole dark web situation. i get that everything has to be decentralized in the end, but how do you deal with the psychotic extremists? how do you control that?

No clue. It feels like a lot of people accept these bad actors as the cost of these systems

true, you can't deny that. but I'm thinking about the future, like stateless countries. at this pace of tech advancement, I think we'll hit that in less than 50 years. When that time comes, how do you control the destructive stuff? Never mind, I'm just thinking out loud too much
