Btw I got menaced by a tweaker on my way to work so loving the bike much less People keep telling me to buy a gun It’s not a reasonable thing to tell a person BUT it is directionally accurate I found self defense classes instead of just going to Walmart and buying gun

Met a couple recently who had a very close encounter with a grizzly while hiking in the Canadian Rockies. Bear mace saved the day. Maybe consider bear mace to go along with self defense classes. Add a little spice to the tweaker’s life if need be.

I can concealed carry here and it’s a privilege I hope to use but have to learn how to use it responsibly I think Sprays and mace are a good holdover but tbh in the end I’ve always heard them being most effective for animals — bears, off leash dog attacks etc

A tazer may be a good option. The kind that actually shoots prongs. Mace can get in your own eyes too.

Highly recommend training if you plan on carrying a firearm. Best to know how to use it, when to use it, and when not to use it (99% of the time). I worked in a super sketchy neighborhood in Detroit for a couple years and a good number of my coworkers and I carried daily. Good to know about the effectiveness of mace - don’t know much about it aside from it looks like it sucks to get sprayed. Stay safe out there.
