It’s sort of ironic, as spreading the OCP narrative only primes a consumer to be more pissed off and paranoid when Coinbase themselves rightfully takes similar actions The customer support point about Coinbase is very rightful I believe. the true irony is that they need to freeze customer accounts because of the stupid AML/KYC regs with which they're complying, and it goes without saying that those regs don't actually prevent money laundering in any way. same shit with my bank, daily/weekly limits for moving funds as well as individual/cumulative purchases, can be arbitrarily locked anytime, etc.

Regs compliance to me and breaking up a send over a few days far far different to me than account freezes lasting many months with 0 clue why and no recourse

yeah I think their resolution process for those restrictions needs improvement to me it’s all the same shit though. in canada we have what’s called FINTRAC regulations and this week I learned that you can’t make a purchase more than $5000 with a chequing account unless the merchant accepts wires. truly bonkers.
