TIL Patreon's estimated revenue in 2021 is $160m, and Substack's is $11.9m. Anecdotal but I don't know anyone using Patreon yet know tons on Substack. Would have assumed less of a delta.

Patreon as I understand it, is not a well managed business CEO lacks vision and is distracted by bright and shiny, resulting in shipping nothing bc of thrash And lots of interpersonal issues like the discrimination lawsuit https://twitter.com/parismartineau/status/1617914123135881217
