I am so glad X is not popular and Elon Musk is basically guaranteeing it never will be. I am an addict and can’t quit but it’s giving me brain damage. I wake up, I scroll, I see 100 infohazards, I log off, I contemplate ending my life. That website is so dark and so nasty in what it elevates

In a list of insanely popular platforms, the bird ranks about #12. Kinda goes against your point? It becomes even "worse" once you remove the low-info-by-design platforms. i.e. nobody is having meaningful conversations on TikTok or Insta. It's also one of the few platforms on that list still indexable by a web search. I don't say this to cheer for Twitter. I think we'd be better off if the platform died. Unfortunately, it is what it is - anything but niche.

You are wrong about people having meaningful conversations on TikTok and Insta. Just no one you know does that. And when I say popular, I mean popular like TikTok and Insta. Everyone has an Insta, only weirdos have X
