80% exploitative and extractive bs created by people with degenerate perversions and delusions that make the acts of the finance crowd look angelic. It’s considered an accepted fact of life that to make a consumer app successful, you must pick a deadly sin and lean all the way in. Silicon Valley threw money at Lucy Guo and called her a genius while she directly profited from child porn — and that’s just the latest. There’s so much we don’t see. Tech can be used to improve the world, of course but it’s a cause undertaken by the few, and the poor, for all the money is in stuff like scamming retail and forcing people to remove ads from the front of a Kindle. This population has grown so small, but they do exist and it’s why I stay interested and continually learning, at least for now

I agree in general but would like to think the crooks and grifters are a loud and powerful minority. This is why crypto is special to me and why I agree with your first statement on the current administrations actions being a cleansing light. Its also why I dislike corpochains like base. We have strayed too far from cyper/cypherpunk ideals.

Nah, its definitely low but this is way too low. I’m from latam and people actually use crypto for it’s original intended purpose here: permissionless, censorship resistant money transfers. Many just want to make this more widespread.
