I finally finished Book 1 of Dune. I have found myself preferring the sweet opiate of the scroll lately to the more active and healthy pleasures of a book lately, so it took me awhile. 

It was amazing, yes, but I also feel an overwhelming sense of relief that I finally checked the box off for nerd cred 🤓

I refused to watch the movies until I finished this book, so tbd 😂

How does it sit next to the movies? I have seen both movies but have not yet read the books. It’s on my shortlist

I will say it moves fast. I finally relaxed enough to reach for a book and blew through it because it was so good. I was 100 pages in on Saturday and finished it this morning

I’m just starting dune, honestly mad props for reading it, all three parts of the book are like 750 pages gonna take me a while.

Highly recommend Gideon the Ninth. Most fun I’ve had with a book in a while. It’s about lesbian necromancers

Gotta say, watching the movies before reading the book kinda made it better - so much more immersive!
