I’m just getting into it but oh yeah. Black Death babyeeeee. And Tuchman describes the people of the Middle Ages as a foreign species. The way they act totally incomprehensible to most modern ppl. She says that by studying this part of history, we can learn what aspects of humanity are truly innate cause otherwise they are so diff

Massive crop failures and famine too. I wonder which behaviors are due to diet and lack of nutrition/protein, which are due to insane religious beliefs, and which are innate. At least there was a cool spontaneous dance party in 1374. Dance till you drop!
