You feel like it’s because the founder works at Mercury?! And if he was just a rando outcome would not be the same?! I had assumed it was reflexive pro-founder bias kicking in here

the company, founder, investors were all shit-tier. if they were that great, they would've raised from
the best, not the Tier25 a16 of canada

people are going out of their way b/c founder now works at mercury so he's a cool kid. 

this is a typical canadian startup. mediocre all around. 

next you'll hear the same about: singularityai (whose founders got pushed out last month), cohere (whose founders will
be pushed out in 25),  koho (whose founder is only there in name) and others.

There needs to be much more transparency in the /venturecapital industry, thankfully crypto and its new approaches to capital formation can help flip the power structures that led to this
