My dad just made me watch all these epic NYE celebrations from around the world. The huge firework in Nagasaki. Drone shows. Some crazy full building thing in Dubai. And I have never felt more ashamed of my country when at the end of all this he goes “oh well. We have Times Square, I guess”. DRONE SHOW EPIC FOR NYE 2025 OR ELSE!! ENOUGH!!

blasphemy! I love those 2 drunk aging gays yapping! But also -- you're not wrong, we can do better overall from a spectacle perspective. Maybe those drones over NJ were preparing a surprise but we got all "go away aliens" and they were like "fine, nvm then"

Sidenote: best NYE "drops" are in Key West -- on one side of Duval St you have the giant conch shell dropping and on the other end they drop a drag queen in a high heeled shoe. Definitely won't find that in Dubai!
