It will be really funny if all of this pandering to Trump blows up in tech’s face, too. Hahaha It was smart of the so called Grey tribe to align with the Republicans. Like that was the correct thing. But it will still be funny if it blows up on them

Crypto is already a Trump asset in the minds of many, gonna be hard to come back from that.

There is potential for spectacular blowback. I’m sort of nihilistic about the whole thing and yet Biden dropping out has energized me. Anti Trump is up there with pro Israel as one of the biggest if not the biggest coalitions in politics — now that there’s a new oldest man this just got interesting to me again

> Biden dropping out has energized me +1 for me, let's make the DNC interesting, and let's put a new ticket up. this is now unprecedented on both sides (a felon + a shakeup)

I do wonder if the anti-Trump sentiment is strong enough now that he’s been out of the limelight for so long. And today’s marginalized voter is more likely to vote R than D. As if the last election wasn’t stressful enough.

After the boomers have clung onto power for so long and refused to pass the torch to the younger generations, it really feels like we're reaching a tipping point with someone as old as Trump. The shift to the new guard will be (or rather IS) chaotic and messy, but it really does feel cathartic in a way.
