Damn this makes me so sad, I don’t know him personally but with the persona he had here I believed in him and the clanker project

All fun and games to be anon until….. I have full faith in the company but dang proxy? What? I felt like I knew that guy, I guess you don’t fr unless doxxed I also don’t understand the morality in general of the space We give Billy McFarland’s second chances. We uplift the kid making cheater software. When are you allowed a second chance, and when not?

If the clanker team didn’t know that proxy == gabagool, then (from the outside at least) it looks like there wasn’t any real attempt at contrition. I don’t know anyone involved, but in the same position I’d probably do the same.

I feel this same way. @proxystudio.eth his mistake at aerodrome shouldn’t hinder his success at clanker.

So I have to say that as a person who has felt some level of influence from having occasional interactions with Alex in the last year, I am both surprised and saddened. I would like to think that if he had come correct from day 1 or at least come forward with the truth about his past willingly (before it was brought to light outside of his control) a situation like this one may have been avoided.

Looking more abstractly at standards, I actually think pseudonymity and crypto play a big part in the fallout compared to the other cases you give. A "trusted social memecoin launcher" is built on the community's trust in the creator. That creator's reputation/history is a material factor in how people relate to it and invest in it. Not disclosing such material info is bad. (in addition to not telling founding team I touched on in another cast)
