I can personally vouch that @dish had absolutely no idea and handled the situation perfectly.

If the clanker team didn’t know that proxy == gabagool, then (from the outside at least) it looks like there wasn’t any real attempt at contrition. 
I don’t know anyone involved, but in the same position I’d probably do the same.
