This is why I find techno-optimism over my lifespan unjustifiable. The glorious future will happen, but for maybe two generations away. I won’t see it. The people of my generation and the immediately following are woefully unfit and have to virtue to balance their greed. A kid like this isn’t building asteroid mining, or scaling medicines, or helping anyone except himself

Life isn’t fair and the world is mean, as the song goes. I think it’s hard now more than in the past because you can see so clearly what you can’t have, see so clearly how we have all the tools for better but don’t use them

No! People before had it way way way worse on the whole and were HAPPIER! like we are talking constant threat of whole town pillaged by brigadiers. I feel like my whole goal sometimes is to just shut the world out It’s not helping me to compare or to know

I’m always in search of my own game to play. Comparison game is a losing game to play

your casts sometimes remind me of the version of me from 2020-2021, like before the time i slowly started shutting out the world for my sanity. (i wasn’t nearly as vocal as you are bc i couldn’t articulate my thoughts so well)
