I have spent a long time thinking about this and one thing you have to be really careful about is straying into illiberalism when you get too lost in the food is poison sauce Yes the FDA food division is slow moving garbage Are we fat sick and unhealthy Yes But also Americans LOVE their junk food. And at a certain point with this you start getting into a dictation of personal choices right up there with vaccine mandates. Tough problem

You can have junk food without junk ingredients The 10% improvement in corporate profits from improved shelf life do not justify the massive negative externalities on health Its a corpo psyop to turn this into a liberty argument

Well in the extreme RFK argument both of these are going. Seed oils. He did a whole video about frying in tallow again It’s easy to gin up support when it’s the obvious crap like fries but there will be a lot more that goes away https://warpcast.com/keccers.eth/0x23bbc71f

🤷🏼‍♀️ oh so you do like additives, actually? The real blackpill is that he isn’t going to do any of this. Crypto bought off politics and you think this anti corporate guy is going to make a difference? Especially post Chevron Deference? All he really gonna do is fuck up where NIH grant money goes, possibly make bad choices about Medicare and Medicaid, unclear what he even thinks about those

I try to reduce my exposure to additives, but it’s kind of unavoidable in America to go to zero unless you farm and cook everything yourself I believe the market will slow down radical propositions because it doesn’t like volatility And you’re right — with chevron, agencies have lost teeth But ideologically I’ve been waiting for someone who is anti-big pharma and industrial food to set the tenor — this is the best opportunity I’ve seen thus far
