One thing I don’t fully understand is what launching via Clanker gets you, especially if you’re making a token for your startup. What are you getting from all that, that’s worth the rake, especially for a long term effort?

I am hearing initial attention also being mentioned as a factor. But I struggle to justify either trust or attention as worth it for a serious company intended to last more than 5min. . .

Right now there’s some trust that a coin isn’t a honeypot if you know it was launched via Clanker or Clankpad, but it’s a good point. I’m sure that’s question they’re trying to answer

This is the consensus view I've gotten after having this question up all morning. It's essentially buying "CERTIFIED: UNRUGGABLE" for your coin

I think the big thing is a platform/spreading some awareness and trust it’s not a malicious rug

Narrows it down to a social rug, not a token designed to be a scam 😄
