Yes. When you are part of a class that people assume to be stupid, they will always assume you don't deserve where you're at. DEI just makes this WORSE With regard to the Woman Problem I've come to the conclusion that one viable solve is to simply just start working as a man. i do this. i have no picture in my email signature and no pronouns. i go by CJ. i get called "gentlemen" in emails. i don't correct them.

It's crossed my mind to become "Val (he/him)". I did that on Linux forums back in the day. But now, being conspicuously feminine is important to me, and I think it serves other women in the space better too. Hiding my identity would contribute to the perception that there are "no women in tech/crypto."
