Genuinely curious: what is the “retribution” people are afraid of?

Retribution isn't the word I'd use, but I certainly like maintaining the greatest optionality possible. 

If you want to get hired, raise money, hire others, etc keeping a lot of options open means self-censoring on occasion.

I agree w/DWR that this is “just life” but I think effect is magnified on here when crypto so small/the app is basically all someone you could work with in the future or want to raise from
