Woah. That is crazy. They call Las Vegas the 9th island (we have 8 major) because of the number of people that fly there to gamble each year. They go pretty much around the clock. Makes sense that if we legalized it here it would go down the income ladder to everyone that can't afford those kinds of trips.

In a way Vegas is harm reducing because of the friction it takes to get there, you have to be in person, vs just opening a website or app

Yeah, exactly. I never thought of it that way, but these stats really show the damage it can do to the most vulnerable population. You to have some semblance of a put together life to get your ass there, enough so that you won't burn it all down on a whim. Maybe that's the answer with vices in general is to increase the friction to acquire them to weed out the least capable of modulating them.
