I basically have had the complete opposite attitude as Naomi recently. I am so overwhelmed by the evil/sin/corruption around me I am beginning to rethink the concept I’ve always held that you can redress sin with good works in the world. People are so awful and evil to me that it makes it hard for me to grasp God’s forgiveness. It is sheer insanity for most to be granted that mercy given how inherently and deeply evil they are

None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. Redemption is only possible through divine grace, good works infeasible

I’ve not liked that perspective in the past as it made salvation feel like to me a box you check while you go on to be a POS anyway, and that’s not felt right ….
