I haven’t had a chance to read the exec order but I think it’s actually a way to hold what’s been seized. Any buying would need to be in the congressional budget. Not saying that’s not a future possibility but don’t think it’s here yet.

I actually think the current language implies simply holding existing (seized) assets. personally I’d be surprised to see them actually buy anything which would require congressional budgeting, doubt that would ever pass.

ah my bad, by the comms wording and everyone's reaction it seemed like the BTC reserve buying narrative became every asset that pays to be there need to learn to read official statements before reacting to the reaction I guess also need to stop checking crypto first thing in the morning lol
