some takeaways from talking with farcasters irl in /paris yesterday: - in total 11 people showed up (2 directly from the airport!), engaged users are motivated to connect irl - everyone looking for alpha (stated preference as joke, revealed preference seriously); a lot of degen, defi and clanker talk - from content creator pov, goal is audience growth, and warpcast/farcaster/web3 tools in general do not provide enough analytics atm to achieve this - my 3rd year hosting a meetup, first time hearing people express not 100% positive sentiment, mainly on concerns of user growth, lack of client diversity and difficulty for new accounts to break through

so three of the attendees are working on building their own media products (one even has nearly 500k followers on tiktok!) and they all talked about wanting/needing more insights on how other users are finding & engaging with their respective content they cited substack, tiktok and instagram as examples of web 2.0 products that give them useful data for adjusting content & strategy
