We do this in a politicized way by taxing gambling and cigarettes, but I feel like there’s less morally charged tweaks to be done on the financial side that would be even more effective than targeted taxes.

I feel like the researchers working on ETH monetary policy are discovering valuable alpha here. 

They seem focused on the minimal amount of changes that can enshrine certain values. If our government was efficient it would be doing something like burning MEV or block/builder separation.

Yeah, that’s a good analogy. I think we should study it for ways that similarly large projects can avoid the same fate … if possible.

Turns out JP Morgan the largest US bank has been buying Bitcoin ETFs even while CEO Jamie Dimon's been publicly hating on it.

In December Dimon said in front of congress he would shut Bitcoin down if he were the government.

They fud crypto in public and buy in private.

Really interesting case study of how open source can grow/mutate/rot over time. I think more people should pay attention to it on a meta level. Lots of do's and don'ts in there.

Also was one of the earlier successful hybrids of public/private wrt Automatic building a business around it.
