She’s a fifth-generation Brooklynite so I’m a little disappointed all her favorite rappers are from Harlem and Queens but at least she’s a New York purist. I played her some OutKast and The Roots and she did not like either.

My oldest’s first favorites were Mbube and I’m goin down. We ended up listening to Mbube for two hours straight on a road trip one time because it was the only thing that would stop him from crying.
