This outbreak was very well forecast, and the NWS had forecast a very high chance of severe storms, they actually underperformed in terms of intensity in Alabama and later in the day

100 percent for solid funding of NWS, just would prefer the reporting doesn’t use natural disasters to make the argument.

I didn’t mean to be misleading. I was just pointing out that storms like this highlight the need for a well funded NWS — not that the cuts led to the deaths.

I recognize, more a note about the framing of issues at large.
