1559 was not an investor focused upgrade, @nic. It was a UX focused upgrade. Burn is *almost* a side effect. Desired, but just a side effect. 

Remember the nightmare when we were paying for transactions and they were not going through? Legacy gas auction system was broken. 1559 fixed it.

As a daily on chain user before and after 1559, totally agree it was a huge UX upgrade. 

Somebody should spin up a simulator demonstrating this.

But yeah, the burn definitely gets the focus because we all want our bags to pump.
