Hey Frens. Not a fan of the term β€˜Total Economic Value’, find it highly misleading. As currently calculated (+ L2 fees to L1) the metric is more accurately β€˜Validator Total Economic Value’. Ethereum still secures an order of magnitude more total economic value. Just my 2 cents, holder of Eth and Sol.

Loved the shoutout for β€˜The Rest is History’ podcast. Crypto and History Podcasts are where it’s at! β€˜Hardcore History’ is another must listen of mine. πŸ™Œ

Frens. Could someone help this pleb understand why Arb fees are roughly 10x OP/Base/Zora right now? Assume this is related to execution stack differences?

@growthepie. Would something like this be possible for Eth/L2s? https://mapofzones.com/home?columnKey=ibcVolume&period=24h Would be a really cool way to visualized different economic zones (OP, Arb, ZKSync, etc.) and bridging happening between them. Maybe even what DA solutions are being used. Big project though.

@sassal.eth and Daily Gwei frens. Has anyone built a visualization like this for Ethereum? https://mapofzones.com/home?columnKey=ibcVolume&period=24h Would be a really cool way to visualized different economic zones (OP, Arb, ZKSync, etc.) and bridging happening between them.

@cdixon.eth. You’ve mentioned how much of a reader you are. Got a public reading list anywhere? Finished your book, looking for my next title.

@dwr.eth I notice Casts can be pinned on a channel. Is that possible on the account level yet?

Great to be here, love the podcasts. Blockworks has really helped refine my investment thesis on BTC, ETH and SOL. Where they overlap and are uniquely different. πŸ™Œ

@sassal.eth, thoughts on the argument that 4844 will be bearish due to lower fee burn by L2s? From my view, Eth’s monetary policy is already ~0% inflation even without L2 fee burn, so it’s far more important to increase L2 throughput and decrease fees than lamenting Eth might not be deflationary long term.

1/While there are many exciting applications of crypto, my core thesis is simple and supported by 100+ years of central bank interventionism. Namely, that the relationship between governments, central banks and their currencies is toxic; prioritizing government power and crony capitalism at the expense of its citizens.
