There is something implicit in this: in many ways - we need new words to describe the times that are yet to come We need new phrases, new feelings, to describe the coming ages, because new ages are going to require new ways to describe the times that are yet to happen (incredible, I imagine).

You can't just expect to keep using the phrases and words that defined old eras - we need to, no we must come up with new words that can define new eras. Don't expect the future to simply be a direct extension of the current - it's something else completely (probably)

Absolutely. Words have far more power than people realize. As a patent agent, a misused word in a patent claim can be the difference of many millions of dollars, or nothing. In everyday conversation, the words we use have power over our perception of ourselves and others. It’s amazing how people who use more negative words than positive can result in more depression/anxiety over time. I think you’re right that we need to be aware of how our description of the now and the past will impact the future. Words are loaded with so much meaning, we should be leveraging that power to building a better future, establishing the myths before they happen

Immanuel Kant’s essay Was ist Aufklärung? was a famous and influential introduction of the concept of enlightenment, It's obvious we are moving into new times now. What are some naming proposals circulating? I mean "Permaweird" doesn't feel right. Neither does "the great reset "

This happens a lot in theory work. Harraway's Chthulucene for example. A lot of my work and research stems from this kind of process; naming, envisioning, and forming scenarios. To take it a step further, you can also create immersive worlds to really step into these possible futures. https://cyrus.website/fusion-energy-futures/

The future is far more vast than the past And twice as more explorable If we can't find new words we can always smash old ones together
