If we took todays lens and ran it through people in the past 2000 years that have existed - there’s very close to no one that wouldn’t be cancelled - is my guess The audacity of wanting people to conform to a “moral compass” or appeal to some sort of liberal empathy is a very recent phenomena

2000 is an absolutely arbitrary number, the correct way to frame this is more anyone before the past 20-50 years, and then the other hard cut off in the west seems to be the Enlightenment
