I find it fascinating how we arrive to a conclusion or decide on doing something. 

I often think about papers for example - and one or the things that comes to mind is:

Why this hypothesis? Why did you choose to focus on this out of the intimately infinite things in the universe with your finite time

the realistic version is a lot of people just looking for gaps in what hasn't been published yet to get 'something' published :/
