“Do you tell people you work in crypto?” Well, I definitely don’t lead with it. Most of crypto, at least in the eyes of the mainstream (and in many cases rightfully so), is an embarrassment. Instead, I tell them how the technology I’m working on can fix their real problems. Then, if they ask how, I explain the crypto component. Then they like crypto.

Well the people around me in real are far away from anything technology or crypto. They know about cryptocurrency but have no interaction with the ecosystem. So I usually tell them I work with in the crypto + blockchain field and then I explain how blockchains work, what wallets are, how crypto is traded etc. and this had worked out really well for me most of the times.

I try to tell people as little as possible 😂 I would never talk about crypto in particular. I work in tech and anyone I've mentioned it to in my team openly disdains or scoffs at it ⚰️
