There's a handful of people interested in long term storage of their cast data. Seems a nice opportunity for a relay service with a nice plugin system to store wherever you like: s3, arweave, ipfs, flat files, webhooks whatever.

Ironically, there's a small set of provider on twitter where you pay to DELETE your data in a rolling window.

Yaaar I don't think these people want to just store the jsons tho They want it permanently on their profile Eg. @degentip first tip was sent before the airdrop tipping system dropped - I wanna keep that provenance - but that means nothing if it only exists in a random arweave tx that no one else can see

Do you imagine the current storage system isn’t sufficient?

Yeah I was like what the heck, aren't we paying for storage? why they aren't storing everything? I would pay for a service that actually stores all my casts and with whom I have interacted with, I already pay for Google One and Apple One storage

That seems like a very legit idea. I am not sure whether I would be willing to pay for it myself, but it does sound reasonable.
