About ~8 years ago, I realized *novelty* helps me stay motivated and excited Easier said than done I've found the most success in playing music with others, meeting new people, and learning new skills (instruments, technology, design, cooking, et al) How do you think about this kind of thing?

i need some novelty and some routine and it's always hard to get the balance right. dinner with the same group once a week while i spend 2-3 days of the rest of the week trying new hobbies with new people, for example, is a way i've found is great for me to make new friends without burning out on socializing

18 years ago, I realized that I need a replenishment task. For me, it’s something active where I can’t use my phone/computer like snowboarding.

I realized the same about myself! It's part of why nomading for the past 3+ years gives me energy since always in different surroundings Otherwise how I've been thinking about it is I love being in beginners mindset constantly so I make sure to find at least one area in my life where I'm always learning something new
