A channel could have +100k followers but that alone isn’t an indicator of an exceptional host, rather, many times it’s just a measure of a channel’s “popularity..” And since popularity is usually fleeting, one must look beyond the surface of channel follower count to truly identify what separates a popular channel that is ran by a good host.. from a great channel that is ran by an exceptional host. A good channel host knows how to grab and hook the attention of followers with good content (which usually accounts for high follower count), but an exceptional channel host knows how to positively IMPACT the lives of followers with their content.. and that is the big difference. The lasting effects of an exceptional channel host saturate the lives of channel followers whether they are onchain, off chain, or irl.. A great way to support + recognize these amazing hosts is to share our testimonies + pour back into them by subscribing, buying their art, merch etc.. (Full circle) That’s REAL community.

Hmmmmm. Personally, an exceptional community channel host for me Firstly, engages actively and keeps conversations flowing. They listen well and pay attention to members' suggestions and concerns. This makes people feel that they are welcome cause even the host engages with them. Secondly, they know their stuff. As much as I want to have a host that feels equal to members, we still need someone to lead the group and it is easier and feels more natural if the host has deep knowledge about the channel's focus. Next, the host brings the community together by encouraging connections between members. Is a leader. Can utilise the strength of the members to better the community. Innovative. Brings fresh ideas and approaches to increase activity among members and gather more members.

I think there are two main parts that we should consider, the first one is to keep the channel engaging, rewarding and exciting, it can’t be done through daily or weekly competitions with different themes, encourage casters to go on streaks and cast daily. The second part which I think is more important and less focused on, is to make quality casters feel welcome, even if they are not big accounts with large amounts of followers. Every quality caster should feel acknowledged by the host, it would definitely build a sense of loyalty and connection and make for a well structured circle. And it’s not even that hard to make bonds in channels because they’re categorized. It just need a little effort and time from the host.

I think a great channel host is careful enough to reply to quality content, even if by a small account. And ofc checks “more replies” section, and stimulates people to evolve or follow in a given direction. Gives the example. I try to help people become vulnerable. @stellabelle helps artists to thrive. @duraa.eth has just started one on actors. We all have fields of interest and specialty but not all of us are willing to give all of it! Even when it comes to making memes. Making people feel SEEN and VALUED makes a good host. I guess recognizing and supporting would be great if the channel l had some communitarian tips. I’d fund /confessions, for example. It’s the most honest channel here. So if the channel host is active enough to distribute the tips by others, daily or weekly, it would promote the channel growth. I didn’t think about rewards for the host itself, bc i think most would be enough happy about rewarding their communities. But maybe a FIXED allowance boost? Or rounds?
