imagine you are a dev that is exploring farcaster and don’t have enough money because you are learning how to code this is a MAJOR unlock over the 9 usd starting prize tier of neynar if what you are doing scales, you can always move to neynar

true, there is an upfront cost to entry BUT it's a time investment to switch over to another provider once you hit that scale neynar docs are pretty good about getting sample requests / responses to prepare for deployment. accepting payment with crypto is nice too!

i come from the self-taught developer world (one myself!) and in the tens of tutorials that ive done (and their respective discord communities, etc) the “and it is free to use!” is a major trigger for people to use one platform instead of another one im thinking of the potential devs on india and emergent countries, not CS students or more established devs (which may be able to see that upside with more clarity and go for a more scalable solution right away) i think farcaster is the perfect playground for people to learn how to code. perfect. and that starts by having free tooling that allows them to experiment without any investment upfront more than the time of learning (which is already hard enough to put in)
