I have a neighbor who always asks to send her kids her to play I’m conflicted I love being the house that people can just send their kids too I don’t like how one sided it is

have you discussed this with them? maybe this imbalance is not part of their awareness and this could bring a meaningful connection between parents which’a kids enjoy being together

We have not yet It’s tricky as the mom is stay at home parent so I get that she is stuck in the house with the kids I’ve ultimately decided that I’d rather be a safe place for kids than put tit for tat conditions on our kid watching relationship But great question

My kiddo isnt old enough to experience this yet, but I suspect in this situation, we would invite the other parents to come over with their kids once in awhile. This would indirectly increase the passive costs to them of sending their kids over and they could help adult. Its a bit passive aggressive, I know.

what does it mean that she is a stay in home parent? (if this is the obvious, don’t even mind to answer lol) maybe there is something that you could bring to her /as a stay on home mother/ to lower the weight of being at home with their kids you bring the whole dinner for everyone and cook together idk haha
